I’ve been reading these questions tonight and see many people get worked up over certain subjects. What subjects do you feel strongly about in regards to raising your child. Diet, breast feeding, circumcision, vaccinations – all of you make good points – from both sides.
Please – don’t argue your views, just state them. I don’t want heated arguments. I just like to see other peoples point of view.

How Long Did It Take For Your Period To Return After You Stopped Breastfeeding? Did It Return To Normal?

I stopped breastfeeding my 13 month old in mid January and was waiting for my period to start. 8 weeks later I had some very light bleeding/spotting for two days. I got nervous and thought maybe implantation bleeding since I had never had a period so light or short before. I had heavy normal periods after my first son was born. I just finished my first pack of pills and today started a little bit of light bleeding but not enough for more than a panty liner. It is just so odd to me because I always used to be such a heavy bleeder, bleeding through super tampons every couple hours. I’m just wondering if someone else has experienced the same and if this is normal? Most women I know got their periods back about 4 weeks after they stopped breastfeeding and the flow was heavier than normal.

I’ve been hearing a lot about how breastfeeding is good for your baby but I can’t seem to find out what it does to your own body.
I’ve been super thirsty all the time. Is it because my mammal glands are using up all the fluids I drink in?
I’ve also heard that when you start having sex again after birth, breastfeeding makes you vaginally dry. Is that true?
