I am almost 37 weeks and I want to breastfeed. I am not sure if it will work out though so I am waiting to buy a breast pump. Do you think a breast pump is needed when you breastfeed? And what kind would you say is good and what do I need for breastfeeding…like nursing bras pads etc?

Can You Overdose Your Baby With Iron Fortified Formula?

I know you are supposed to follow directions carefully with vitamins because of iron, so is it the same with baby formula?
My cousin had her baby one week before I had mine (2 months ago). I just found out that in order to get him to sleep better, she gives him one scoop to every ounce of water she uses (when the directions say one scoop to every two ounces of water).
Could that harm the baby in any way?

Can You Mix Cold Boiled Water With Hot Boiled Water To Make Luke Warm Water To Add Baby Powder Formula?

In order to prepare fresh baby formula I store boiled water in individual bottles in the fridge so I have it on hand. Instead of warming the cold water in a bottle warmer or under hot running water I add hot boiled water instead to get it luke warm so I can then add the baby formula powder. I was wondering if this is safe as I have not been able to find this method of preparing formula on any websites.
Did Your Ob/gyn Discuss The Benefits Of Breastfeeding With You During Your Pregnancy?

If yes, please share your experience. Did your doctor initiate the discussion? Did you find it helpful? Anything you’d like to share would be appreciated.
If no, do you feel that he/she should have? Why or why not? Do you think it’s important that breastfeeding be discussed with your ob/gyn during pregancy, as it is proven to be beneficial to womens’ health?
Your thoughts, please. No debates. This is a serious question, not an invitation to argue.
Thanks!

Breastfeeding With Both Breasts Fully Exposed In A Public Place?

What’s your opinion on this?
Yesterday I was in Walmart and saw a woman with her infant daughter sitting on a bench breastfeeding. Her entire blouse pulled down. I quickly looked away to be respectful, but thought that she should have at LEAST covered her other breast (the one she wasn’t feeding the baby with).
I believe that breastfeeding is a great thing, and breastfeeding in public is fine as long as you show a LITTLE decency.

We’re going to the US with our 9 week old baby who is formula fed. How do we take formula feeds through airport security? (no liquids). There’s the problem once through of having cooled boiled water that’s ready to go on demand…Is there a way to store boiled water once through security? What container did you use? (flask unsuitable as it remains hot) did anyone use bottled water?

I would like to know what other people have tried, its effects and if recommended. I just want something short term. Thanks in advance for your answers.
