Can I Switch My Baby To Generic Formula?

As we all know, money is tight these days, and I wonder if it would hurt my 6 1/2 month old baby boy to switch him to like wal mart brand baby formula? Also – My son was born on March 25th, 2009. Technically he is 29 weeks old, but the doctors are going by the 25th of each month for his age… How does this work and which one is correct??? Thank you!

It’s difficult for me to get her on to breastfeeding because she’s already used to the bottle. I had to put her on the bottle right when she was born because i had a C-section operation and it was really hard to get her to breastfeed. I’ve read online that all formulas are basicly the same and I’d like to stock up now if possible. We fall in that hairy bracket between making too much and too little to qualify for assistance and sales and coupons would help. I just wonder if it’s a bad idea. We have no way to know what formula we will use and people just kind of seem to go off of whatever they like…. Any idea? I don’t want to get blind sided by formula costs after our baby is born and breast feeding isn’t an option.

My daughter is 3 days old, and I am breastfeeding her. I’ve given her a bottle a couple of times after pumping my breasts, and now she does not want to breastfeed at all.
