How Long Does Baby Formula Reallly Last In The Bottle?

My baby doest alway eat all her formula sometimes. The package says to throw any un-eaten away after 1 hour. Is that really needed? It seems perfectly fine and such a waste. Cant i put it in the fridge and warm it up again?

We use Similac Advance powder and it is good for 1 hour after first feeding from the bottle. We carry the refrigerated bottles in the bag with the ice packs provided with the diaper and supply bag.
