I am pregnant with my first child and I leaning more toward bottle feeding. i know breastfeeding is free and it is good for the baby. But given my job and our lifestyle, I think it would be better to bottle feed. But everyone is pressuring to breastfeed, so I am mixed on the subject. Just wanted some other opinions. THanks!

Just curious, but why do people act as if they want to rip each other’s heads off when breastfeeding and/or bottle feeding is mentioned in the same sentence?
Enlighten me if you can, because I don’t understand why people get so fiercely defensive if someone says something about “weaning at a certain age” or “bottles”.

Sometimes I heat my baby’s next bottle of ready-to-feed formula, and she falls asleep. I want to wait for her to rouse before feeding. Anyone know how long it is safe to keep the newly heated bottle out on the counter before feeding her with it?
Thanks!

My newborn daughter is now 10 months old and we want a second child, but to do that my wife has to stop breast feeding. Currently my daughter refuses to drink any kind of baby formula and we have tried a couple of types from Similac. Could it be the type of nipple on the bottle. I think there are two types, but I do not remeber which kind we tried using. Do you think it’s the bottle or the taste of the forumla she’s rejecting?

My daughter is 3 days old, and I am breastfeeding her. I’ve given her a bottle a couple of times after pumping my breasts, and now she does not want to breastfeed at all. She will not open her mouth, and even if she opens her mouth slightly, she sucks extremely lightly as if she was sucking on a bottle nipple. I don’t know what to do, and I don’t want to starve her.
