I am getting married tomorrow and am not able to sleep very well. I don’t have time to consult doctor on what I can and cannot take. Has anyone ever been on over the counter cold medicines while breastfeeding?

In order to prepare fresh baby formula I store boiled water in individual bottles in the fridge so I have it on hand. Instead of warming the cold water in a bottle warmer or under hot running water I add hot boiled water instead to get it luke warm so I can then add the baby formula powder. I was wondering if this is safe as I have not been able to find this method of preparing formula on any websites.
