Is Generic Baby Formula As Good As Name Brand?

I have baby #2 on the way. I used Similac for baby #1 but I now see that Babies R US has it’s own brand of formula and it’s much cheaper. Should i stick with Similac or is the off-brand ok to use?

Why do people say to use only one brand of baby formula?
My baby does fine with any brand formula, but some people tell me not to do that, or ask me if that is healthy.
Why is it so bad, my baby never has any problems, no gas, no spitting up. Besides, aren’t most brands almost the same anyway?
