I just started on the mini pill a week ago and my doctor said that it would be wise to use another form on contraceptive for a month. My husband and I had a slip up after a week and I’m wondering if we are somewhat safe due to the fact that I’m still breastfeeding and have started the pill.

I got pregnant unplanned but I’m taking full responsibility. But this can not happen again! Besides using condoms I want a back up method of birth control. But I also want to breast feed. I want to get on birth control right away. As soon as I have the baby. Because the women in my family are very fertile. And I heard breastfeeding can be birth control but I don’t want to risk it.

I am nursing a 5 month old, and will be for at least another 7 months. What kind of birth control is safe to use while I am breastfeeding. I am not interested in condoms, diaphrams, or VCF. Thanks!

I read that true breast milk usually comes in about 3 to 4 days after the birth of the baby; however, a baby needs to eat way before then. In a situation like this, what can a mother do if she wants to breastfeed, but her milk is not coming in until several days later??? (Note: she does NOT want to give the baby formula). Thank you.

I am breastfeeding my now 2 month old baby. I do not like the idea of IUD’s. I used to take the pill and it made me gain weight. I am leaning to the depo shot. I would like to know what other people have tried, its effects and if recommended. I just want something short term. Thanks in advance for your answers.

My baby is due in two weeks
! Yay! And I’m planning on trying breastfeeding. This is my first. I was on birthcontrol before, I have horrible periods and also acne and this helps with that. Is it okay to take birth control while I am breastfeeding?

I’ve heard if you’re breast feeding that that alone will be effective in preventing you from getting pregnant again. How long is that true for? The entire time or just the first few months? I plan on breastfeeding for at least a year when I do have children, so would it work that long? Thanks.
