What Was Your Period Like After Breastfeeding?

I just quit breastfeeding my son after a year. I have had 1 period(it came about 3 weeks after stopping). I am now wondering if I should expect my period to be on the same cycle as before, or if it will be irregular for a while?
What did you experience?
when mine came back it was exactly the same as it had been before- very regular. I remember the first couple ones back were a bit more “intense” than normal… heavier bleeding, painful cramps… but after a few that settled down.
I also have issues with breastfeeding. I posted my question on wish123 and got an answer from an expert who solved my problem. Highly recommend the website.
