There are no “NO NO” foods to avoid. Eat whatever you like, and don’t worry.
“A breastfeeding mother should try to eat a balanced diet, but neither needs to eat any special foods nor avoid certain foods. A breastfeeding mother does not need to drink milk in order to make milk. A breastfeeding mother does not need to avoid spicy foods, garlic, cabbage or alcohol. A breastfeeding mother should eat a normal healthful diet. Although there are situations when something the mother eats may affect the baby, this is unusual. Most commonly, “colic”, “gassiness” and crying can be improved by changing breastfeeding techniques, rather than changing the mother’s diet.”http://www.breastfeeding.com/all_about/a…
Go for it – just make sure it’s all fresh, and that good hygiene is being followed – I had a bad oyster one Christmas that floored me for weeks.
Really the only things you should avoid as much as possible are alcohol and caffeine, and you can get away with a little of each if you time your feeds carefully.
You can eat anything you want, I did and everything was fine. Enjoy your yummy seafood feast at Christmas. It is just in pregnancy you have to avoid all the good stuff.
You can eat anything you like. Some babies react to certain foods, but the only way to determine this is trial and error. My daughter was fine with chilli, curries…anything except ginger.
Everytime I eat spicy foods my daughter screams the next day, so I dont eat it anymore. Also cows milk makes her nose snuffly.
Eat whatever you want to. There are no foods to avoid unless your child shows any signs of allergies ( soy, dairy etc..)
There are none. It’s a nice change from pregnancy. Congrats on the babe!
