what all, related to breastfeeding, do i need to buy before baby gets here if i am planning to breastfeed .i am 31 weeks right now and just now decided i will be breastfeeding.

All you need are a few good nursing bras, Lansinoh cream is good for sore nipples, and some breast pads for inside your bra, and really that’s all. You don’t need to buy a pump if you’re not planning on being separated from your baby, and if you were, you could hand express if you wanted. But many women love their breast pumps and highly recommend them. I found I didn’t need or want one.
Hi!
I am planning to breastfeed too and was wondering what to buy and asked my friends what to get. Two of my friends told me the advice which made me think a little bit.
They both told me that they planned to breastfeed their 1st babies and they bought all kids of stuff including breast pumps. They both were unable to breastfeed because their boobs just did not want to produce any milk. So, their advice to me was to decide what I want before I have a baby and then make your husband go buy it or buy in online after you make sure you can breast feed. This way, you don’t have to waste money on things you don’t need.
Hope you will not have any problem, but I thought I will share my friends advice since breast pump is not cheap!
Good luck
A breast pumps helps if you have alot of milk and your partner can also help with feeds, breast pads are a must ! if you have invert nipples like i did a nipple shield helped great ,also a sterilizer and a few bottles for water and the breast milk not alot to it other wise depends on the person good luck and congrats take it easy oh good breast feeding pillow and a few good bras as you might leak !! and also they sell breast feeding singlets so you dont have to lift your top up
Just like a bunch of women, to leave off the important things. two boobs and a baby are the most important things
all levity aside, how about some light baby blankets to cover yourself when feeding in front of other people. cloth diapers or something like them to burp the baby on. also used to wipe up drips and squirts. there are all kinds of cream you can get to prevent chapped nipples, We used ” Bag Balm”, 1,000,000 dairy farmers can not be wrong. Some tops that can be either opened or lifted for easy access. Pacifier- to give to the baby when your nipples are sore.
be careful of cold winds, If you get a breast infection it is very painful. Search for la leche league.
lansinoh or kamillosan for sore nipples, a breast pump if u wanna express and a pillow (i think its called a bumpy pillow?) but just try and find a breastfeeding pillow and some good well supportive nursing bra’s!
at least one boob and good pillow and a remote control
all i use is a nursing pillow
