I think this would be a good time to wean her off her pacifier now and then later. I know later in life she would have hard time letting go that pacifier. This be a good age to stop giving her a pacifier.

I don't think it'll make much difference. We "lost" the pacifier at around 12-15 months from memory. We went to Grandma's for the weekend and when we returned home we realised that we "accidently" left it there...it worked perfectly both times and they never asked for it again...

yes, pacifiers are gross, especially when they get colds. try taking it away as soon as you can. they really dont need it especially when they have their mothers breast to sooth them. the older they get the more they want it,because they get so used to it. she'll be fine.my kids never used the pacifier but my sisters kids were using them till about 3 and no matter what she did she couldn't break them of the habit. the sooner the better.

I never used a pacifer but our pediatrician told my sister in law that by 3 months the baby should be weaned from the pacifer. If you keep it for longer than 3 months then it's more for the parent than the child. I nursed all my kids and they really didn't use me as a "pacifer" if you don't let them they won't do it.

It depends on your baby. If you do wean her now she may try to use you as a human passy. Or she may be just fine. There is no "right" answer to this. You can try it to see how she responds and follow her cues.
