It took me 4 weeks after I had stopped breastfeeding for my periods to resume. I know you can get pregnant in that waiting period’ so if you had sex then it is possible you are pregnant. Unfortunately, the symptoms are the same for period and pregnancy so difficult to tell. Take a pregnancy test 3 weeks after you and your husban had sex to confirm. In the meantime, stop worrying. If you;re not pregnant the worrying will only delay your period further. If you are then you’ll be giving your baby the pricless gift of a little brother sister. Either way you’ll be okay. Unfortunately, I’m not sure about that, since I conceived while still breastfeeding my first child (she was 11 months old). The only reason I stopped was because she refused to continue — milk probably dried up when I got pregnant. No amount of pumping or herbal supplements worked. I had had two periods before I got pregnant the second time.
If you have already started solids before you stopped breastfeeding, then you probably were already able to conceive at that point. Not having periods has little if anything to do with your ability to conceive, and breastfeeding only works as a contraceptive under very strict conditions (such as feeding at least a certain frequency, not giving pacifiers, bottles, or solids, etc). So chances are, you were already able to conceive. Youre symptoms could be either pregnancy or premenstrual. At this point, I’d wait until your period is due to begin and take a test. If you don’t know when that is, and you likely won’t if you haven’t had any periods yet, just go ahead and take a test. If you’re still not sure, go see your ob-gyn to be safe.

It takes about 50-60 days to start your period again after having a baby. On average. If you were breastfeeding, then it will take a little while longer. If you have just had a baby, it is highly unlikely that you will get pregnant again in the next 9 months. Because your body has to regulate its self again, before it become pregnant again. This is because your uterus is now all scar tissue, and the birthing canal is not yet back to its normal state.

well u the symptoms are almost the same for the pregnancy too…but get yourself checked just to be sure that u r not pregnant. well i have been breastfeeding for about 6 months now and my periods haven’t started. the first time with the baby it wuz 5 months after i had my period and i wuz breast feeding but not full-time…the baby wuz on the bottle as well…and then the period wud dissapear for 2 months and come back again etc…it is all different w/our bodies…just get the pregnancy kit and chk it out.

sounds like your period is just bieng shy. mine did that too. don’t worry just try to relax and if you think you are pregnant take a test. you will get your period soon and it will get regular. it takes a while so don’t worry.

Your body is pretty messed up after all the changes you have gone through, you could be pregnant and you may just be a little iregular, I would take a test to put your mind at ease
