How Long Does It Take After Breastfeeding For Milk To Dry Up?

Hi, I just finished breastfeeding my daughter after one year. I had gradually cut her down to one feeding a day so I haven’t been making a lot of milk for a while. I previously breastfed my son a year but found out I was pregnant with my daughter a week after his first birthday and I never completely dried up. I think that happened because I was pregnant again. I am wondering if anyone else has went through this before and can tell me if their milk dried up completely at some point and time. I am 25 and it’s been 5 days since she last nursed. I haven’t experienced any fullness or pain. But if I put pressure on my breasts I will notice some milk still coming out. (I was pregnant with my son 9 months, breastfed a year, and found out I was a month along at his first birthday and was pregnant with my daughter 8 months and breastfed her a year.) Thanks for your help.

I could still produce milk a year after I weaned my daughter. There wasn’t enough to create any leaking issues, but during breast exams, I definitely dripped a little. My doc said it is different with everyone.
I had to quit do to surgery when my girl was 2 mths. I have just stopped leaking and she is almost 6 mths now. I don’t know if that was normal. This was my first so I really don’t know.
If I try I can still express a drop of milk, and I haven’t been nursing for 18 months! lol…I was hoping to find some answers when I saw your question here too…lol
My mother is 48 years old my oldest brother is 24 and she is still able to breast feed.
You do the math.
