How Long Can I Be Away From My Breastfeeding Baby If I Pump?

My 18-month old is still nursing, but I’m planning to be away for 4 full days in a few weeks. I will try and pump 2-3 times a day (he nurses 3 times a day), but I’m worried that my supply will suffer after 4 whole days of exclusively pumping.
I’d hate to have to stop breastfeeding just because of some trip. Has anyone had success or otherwise?
Thanks

After 18 months of an established nursing pattern, 4 days away will be fine. Even if your supply were to dip a bit it would return to normal almost as soon as you return to nursing.

Pumping should keep your supply up without much difficulty. A bigger issue will be that he may not want to nurse when you get back.
If you need to be away.. do what you gotta and hope for the best. If not … post-pone the trip or bring him along.
