My dad was digging and he found a mouse nest with 3 baby mice in and no mother. How do we take care of them? They are newborn field mice born today. The ground and nest are also gone!

If you are absolutley sure that there is no mother and that there is no chance of her coming back please look at this web address. http://www.thefunmouse.com/info/orphanedmice.cf…
It is extremely informative and has helped myself not only with mice but with rats & baby hedgehogs too.
(please do not touch the mice if there are any signs of the mother, your scent could urge her to abandon or eat them)
I hope this helps, let me know how it goes (field mice are actually quite friendly)

You should have waited to see if their mother returned. She might have gone out to get some food or something.
I don’t know how to take care of them otherwise would have loved to tell you.

Well if I were you I would go to the veterinarian and ask them because I don’t think many people will be able to answer this question! (NO OFFENSE)

Just born? That’s going to be tough. The wild rodents have the hardest time surviving before their fur comes in at about 1-2 weeks. I use this guide for raising wild orphaned rats: http://ratfanclub.org/orphans.html
Good luck with this, though. Don’t be disappointed or discouraged if they don’t make it… you did your best and they got much farther than they would’ve without you.
