I am breastfeeding, amenorrheic, and choosing to not use birth control. Are there early clues? – besides the obvious: lack of menstuation or a positive urine test?

feeling sick to your stomach.
You have to take a pregnancy test. For breast feeding to work as a contraceptive your child has to be nursing at a high level. Why would you choose not to use birth control when you are still nursing an infant? That is much too closely spaced for the children’s intellectual development. You will not have enough time to stimulate both of them.
Being a mother of 5 and conceived 2 of my children while Breastfeeding I would have to say BE CAREFUL if you don’t want to to conceive yet.
The signs for me were both different. #1. Morning sickness, tired, feeling not right… Went to the Dr. took a urin pregnancy test and it came back positive. My baby at the time was 6 months old.
#2 baby I was feeing Run down and tired all the time. Almost like I was anemic (No morning sickness this time) Dh said i should go to the Dr and have some blood test to check on my thyroid and Iron Levels. He said we will do a pregnancy test first. I laughed at him.. No way I could be!! Well… Slight chance.. ..yes it is possible.. but very unlikely! Took the test and he walked into the room 1 min later holding a pink sucker and said Congratulations!!
List to your body but when in doubt.. Take a test.
