I have an 8 month old baby that I have only been breastfeeding but I want to transfer to the bottle now that I want to go back to school full time. I pumped milk and I tried offering the bottle before but he doesn’t take it, all he does is cry. How can I get him to take the bottle????

My little one is only 3 weeks but I pump milk to freeze. I will also pump milk and let my son feed her. I only do about 2 oz. once every other day. She takes right to it and will go right back to the breast. But only my son or husband feed her with the bottle. You could also try switching nipples.
your baby is old enough for a sippy cup with a silicone spout. why are you offering a bottle??? i went back to school today and i am also going full time. i let my daughter practice with a sippy cup and she does well on it and she is only 5 months old. she has always been exclusively breast fed and would NEVER take a bottle. so now i pump and put the milk in the sippy and she takes it without a fight
Start having someone else feed him his bottles for a while. He associates breastfeeding with you so he will not want the bottle from you. I went back to work when my baby was 3 months old. It took about a week before he would drink much from a bottle at the babysitters.
I can’t remember now how my kids transferred but you could try just kind of letting him play with the bottle some time when he’s not actually starving and grouchy but mildly interested. Also make sure the hole in the bottle is not too big: if it comes gushing out that can give him a fright.
Cut off your nipple and glue it to the bottle.
