Can I Give My Baby Formula Right After She Had Baby Food?

My baby is 5 1/2 months and I started her with stage one baby food. She had one jar of carrots and when it was all gone she cried her lungs out for a while. So, I felt bad and gave her 2 ounces of formula. Is this bad?

If your baby cries for more and you feed her, then you are doing the right thing. She knows when she is still hungry and doesn’t have the problems as adults do with knowing when they are hungry and when they are eating for comfort etc.
The formula is her main source of food at this time. She should have the formula first and then offer solids after. At 5 1/2 months solid is just ‘extra’ food not the essential item.
No! It’s good that she still wanted formula afterward. But remember that formula (or breastmilk) needs to be her main source of nutrition, so offer a bottle first and then let her eat her solids, not the other way around
No, there is nothing wrong with that! She was still hungry! Solids are just for fun, they should never replace a bottle of formula.
no you are doing great
