It should say on the box whether you can take it while you are breastfeeding. But they give you Panadol in hospital when you have the baby so it should be ok.

This is a question your doctor or pharmacist should answer.
A well-intentioned but incorrect answer from a non-professional could be risky and even dangerous.

I was told panadol is the safer option. I personally would not choose aspirin over panadol - there may be potential side effects with aspirin. I was however on Voltaren (another NSAID drug) after my pregnancy (not by choice) and was breastfeeding for four months. As far as we know our son wasn't affected by this. Maybe choose the panadol this time, and check on the aspirin for next time.

Call the pharmacist. They will be able to tell you. I know with Panadol any information says to contact your doctor but a pharmacist will know more about what to use while nursing. Aspirin is transmitted thru the breastmilk and to the baby.
