I plan on breastfeeding but I would like to pump and use bottles as well so that my husband can be able to feed the baby as well. What are the best bottles to use to minimize nipple confusion?

my daughter has never had a problem and i started using bottles when she was 3 weeks. I used playtex vent aire, and the drop in liner kind(they use the same nipples) now I use avent
I use Born Free.
I suggest one that is BPA free or glass. http://safemama.com/2007/11/22/bpa-free-…
You might buy 2-3 different kinds and see what your baby likes. Also, don’t introduce a bottle for 4-6 weeks.
Dr Browns wide mouth bottle.
I liked the playtex nurser. they have nipples that are almost like the nipple.
There’s no such thing as nipple confusion.. that is an old wives tale. See # 54 of Jack Newman’s common breastfeeding myths:http://www.co.eau-claire.wi.us/Health/PD…
The bottles I prefer if I sometimes need a bottle is Avent, they are supposedly very true to a real nipple. Dr. Brown’s are also great and true to a real nipple, but they have about 5 parts and are lots of work to clean. Either work great though.
well if you buy a breast pump they usually come with bottles but i used the gerber one it is purple and you can change the nipples the only thing you can do is trial and error just try different ones and see which one she will take
My youngest liked the Playtex drop in and the nipples are like the breast.. He also like Avent to and they do well and won’t get the baby confused. He just took a bottle while he was daycare when I was working and he just get the breast at home.
Dr Brown are excellent, though we tend to use a variety, including Avent, and Chicco so that our little girl doesn’t get used to only one type. Has worked well so far
She’s not fussy at all.
playtex nursers sytem worked great for all of my kids, take into consideration your breast size, the size of your nipples and just compare the bottle nipple to yourself.
Dr. Brown wide bottles worked best for us.
(tried Avent, Playtex, Mam, Evenflow before them)
I love the Adiri bottles. Check them out: http://www.adiri.com. They’re “breast-shaped.” Also, stick with “Stage 1″ nipples, which are slower flowing, so they’re more difficult than other stages for baby to pull from. You don’t want baby to have an easier time with the bottle than with your breast.
A pumping hint: pumping goes MUCH easier when you are breastfeeding on one breast, pumping on the other. Baby will be stimulating letdown in the other, then.
One thing that you need to watch for when buying all baby bottles, teethers, and other feeding supplies: make sure they are free of Bisphenol-A and phthalates. If you need to find out which ones are made of safe plastic, check out a blog called Z Recommends, which annually comes out with a list of safe baby feeding products.
Good luck, and good for you for breastfeeding!
i have playtex vent flow bottles and the package should say most like real breast nipples or something like that don’t remember exactly and there different stages 1 for just starting out and for when the baby is a little older. I think they work great we had no problems
