Have you tried any soy formulas?
My daughter is on Enfamil Prosobee with Lipil. It seems to have worked wonders with her. It’s a soy formula.
are you sure it’s lactose intolerance, or is it protein intolerance? try Nestle Good Start. it has broken down proteins like mother’s milk.
Have you tired the soy? I tried that but she was terribly constipated. We also tried all the other ones. Similac seem tohelp the best but after a few weeks all her symtpoms came back. The dr suggested neocate. YOu can’t buy it over the counter. You can have yuor pharmacy order it or order it yourself online. Once we started her onthat, she slept through the night and was a very happy baby!!! Have you taken her to the doctor? what’s his/her opinion. My doctor called the neocate complany and had them send us a couple cans. It is super expensive so they wanted us to try it before we bought it. It is about $35 a can. It is only 85oz. My daughter is 5 months and we spend bout $550 a month!!! but it’s worth it if it helps!!
My son is the same way. We have tried all the major brands of soy, Enfamil prosobee, Nestle supreme soy, and similac isomil. They all seem to be the same, my son drank all of them with no problem. They seem to have very little variation in ingredients. I think that if you are looking for the best value it would be Similac. The scoop is smaller than the other two so it lasts longer and it is the least expensive. I would recommend talking to you ped though just to make sure that it is lactose intolerance and not some other digestive issue.
I used Enfamil nutramigen…. she was able to switch to milk w/ no problems at a year old.
3 of my 4 children were lactose intolerant, i am also myself, i used Similac Isomil soy formula for them and it was great
My son is lactose intolerant. He also couldn’t handle regular or soy formulas and eventually wound up on Alimentum.
He is now 27 mo old and is still lactose intolerant although soy is no longer a problem. We kept him on formula until he was 15 mo old and then switched to vanilla soy milk which he still loves today.
parents choice soy, lactose free……cheap and it settles in his belly really well
We just found out our 1 year old is lactose intolerant. We switched him to the SILK SOY MILK. They have it in VERY VANILLA and in CHOCOLATE….but since you have a 4 month old i would ask your doctor if its okay to put them on SOY MILK…if she wants the little one on formula which i am sure is what would happen i would suggest ANY KIND of SOY FORMULA. They are all lactose free. Good luck.
Both my nieces had that when they were born(they grew out of it though) They were both put on isomil which is a similac soy formula, There is also enfamil pro sobee, which is enfamil’s soy formula, you could try that, if your baby doesn’t agree with soy either there are some different formulas that you can give him/her but you will want to talk to your doctor first to see what they recommend, i wish you the best of luck.
