At What Age Are The Benefits Of Breastfeeding No Longer Greater Than Regular Food?

I know the goal is 12 months, and I know WHO recommends breastfeeding to 24 months.
I know breastfeeding is a great way to pass on all of the vitamins and nutrition the baby needs to develop their immune system. So at what age can a child develop and maintain it on their own, so that they no longer need the nutrients of breast milk?

The question shouldn’t be comparing breastmilk against regular foods, because breastfed babies eat regular foods, just like formula fed or cows milk fed babies do. The swap is breastmilk for cows milk/formula, and breastmilk always has health benefits over formula/cows milk because it’s the species specific milk. Most people see practicality benefits to using cows milk rather than breastfeed, but there are no health benefits.
There is no maximum age se by the WHO or anyone else for breastfeeding. It has benefits for as long as breastfeeding is mutually desired.
depends on what YOU consider beneficial
Nutrition wise..one year
people who nurse longer are doing it to comfort bond and console the child
It is done at bedtime relaxing time and when the child is upset
Which is totally beneficial to the development of a healthy minded and bodied child
The la lecha group thinks that you should breast feed until the child is 5 years old and that’s all they should eat. A bit extreme! I feel that as long as your comfortable, then continue doing it. My daughter was 18 months old, and I looked down one day, and determined that it looked a bit odd. It ended that day.

That’s the site the US gov is recommending. You can pretty much get answers to all your question about the subject there.
children start to build their immune system around 5 years old.
Honestly yes infants need breast milk or formula but at12- 18 months THEY NEED REAL FOOD!
